Jaden Emmanuel and Lim Wei Yi Markus, who both arrived in Gothenburg on Sunday, come from Singapore and represent Afroasia Football Academy. The journey to the west coast of Sweden has been a long one.

– It was long journey, 14 to 16 hours, so of course there will be fatigue. But for the tournament it is worth it, says Jaden Emmanuel.

During the upcoming week, he is looking forward to meeting people from different cultures. He also hopes that the team can go far in the tournament.

– I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and speaking to people from different cultures, which I can learn from. But I am also looking forward to winning the tournament.

Together at Gothenburg Central Station, he stands with Lim Wei Yi Markus, who travelled to Gothia Cup to follow the team as a photographer.

– The journey was definitely long. I actually came alone, by flight. When I got here, the crew were actually very friendly and directed me to take the bus here.

He is also looking forward to the tournament week ahead.

– I feel like this will be a very valuable experience, not just for me, but for the rest of my teammates. And hopefully we can make it all the way to the finals.
