Makati FC showed class in their final victory

Makati FC from the Philippines displayed technical and effective football in a clear win over San Francisco Seals from the United States in the G13 final.

Right from kick-off, Makati set the tone with confident passing and sharp technique. The team created pressure early and went into half-time with a solid 3–0 lead at SKF Arena. The Filipino side dominated large parts of the match and kept the American players pinned back on their own half for long periods.
– I think we won because we worked as a team. We played really well, says the match MVP Nafeeza Ayasha Nori.

Five minutes into the second half, Nafeeza Ayasha Nori headed in 4–0 after a well-placed cross – a goal that effectively decided the match. Shortly after, she scored again with an almost identical header, also from a cross on the right. That goal completed Nori’s hat-trick. But it didn’t stop there – just a minute later, she made it 6–0.
– I hope I get to play next year as well – and perform even better, says the four-time goal scorer.

With only a minute left, the Makati goalkeeper came out poorly in a challenge and brought down the American striker – resulting in a red card. Moments later, the referee blew the final whistle – the Filipino victory was secured.
