Gothia Cup

Here is this year's social media hosts

It’s almost time for another edition of Gothia Cup – and just like previous years, our social media hosts will keep you updated throughout the tournament.

This year’s hosts are Mimi Cronquist, Hannah Heed, and Flutra Cela. Two of them you might recognize – Mimi is back for her third year, and Hannah returns for her second. Joining them is Flutra Cela, who normally plays in Elitettan. She’s played in the Gothia Cup final herself with BK Häcken and also stars in the Gothia Cup film, where she plays one of the lead roles.

At the moment, she’s injured and can’t play football, but this year she’ll experience the tournament from a new perspective.
- Of course, it’s a bit sad not to be able to play, but now I get to be on the field in a different role – and that feels really fun, says Flutra Cela.

During the week, the trio will be out at matches, meet the crowd and players, visit schools, and deliver news and highlights from across the tournament.
- Gothia Cup is truly one of the absolute highlights of the summer! I’m looking forward to working with Hannah and Flutra, says Mimi Cronquist.

Hannah Heed is also excited and looking forward to the tournament:
- There’s always something special about the opening ceremony – so much joy and energy. I’m also excited for the playoff games, they’re always full of emotion.

Ida Mardoukh, last year’s social media host, has stepped up this year to the role of project manager.
- I’m excited about my new role and to make an even greater impact on this tournament that I’m truly passionate about, says Ida Mardoukh.
