– Oh, did it go that fast!? We thought it was great fun this year and created a great community in the team. Next year we hope for the same great experience and also for slightly better results, says the leader Petter Frejinger.
FC Rosengård was not far behind. The G14 team from Malmö was also very quick to sign up for next summer's big football party for youngsters from all around the world. In fact, they had waited a long time to sign up.
– Our girls have talked and longed to play the Gothia Cup so much, so I have had a notice in my calendar since August. We look forward to meeting great teams and experiencing all that the Gothia Cup has to offer, says the team leader Aleksandra Szmit.

First to register among the foreign teams was the German B15 side FC Teutonia 05 e.V from Hamburg.
– Cool to be the first. My aim was to get a safe registration for my team. I‘m looking forward to the cup. It will be maybe my second time as a leader. The last time was in 2019. I have only good memories of the cup. I wish us again a great time, great games and many nice new acquaintances. The players are looking forward to a joint trip abroad and beautiful games against international teams, says the leader Frank Feinle, who organizes the team’s trip to Gothenburg.

The spots in the local category ran out very quickly and there was also big interest in the other categories. We have by a good margin passed 400 teams for the Gothia Cup 2023. In addition to Sweden, teams from Germany, England, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Tunisia, Algeria and USA have registered for the tournament.
– It's incredibly fun that there is once again so much interest in participating in the Gothia Cup. After this summer's fantastic tournament, I think both we and the teams are equally excited to look forward to another wonderful tournament week in Gothenburg, says the competition leader Niclas Andersson Freiholtz.
