Häggkvist guided Enskede to victory

With a cautious start, the match between Swedish side Enskede IK and Danish Team Odense Q looked to be an even contest for a long time. But when Lillian Häggkvist stepped up, everything changed.

It was a cautious start when Swedish side Enskede IK faced Danish team Team Odense Q. At the first water break, the score remained 0–0 in a match where both teams were mainly feeling each other out.

In the 22nd minute, the match came to life. Lillian Häggkvist broke through midfield, challenged the back line and struck from just outside the penalty area – 1–0 to Enskede.

Just two minutes later, Häggkvist found the net again to make it 2–0. The half-time whistle followed shortly after, with Enskede in a strong position.
– After the first half, we felt that we couldn’t afford to mess this up, says the match MVP Lillian Häggkvist.

In the second half, the Swedish side continued in the same direction. The team extended the lead to 3–0, and soon after came 4–0, once again scored by Lillian Häggkvist, who completed her hat-trick.
– We went out with the right mindset, we were here to win. Everyone on the team really wanted to win, says an emotional Lillian Häggkvist.

Shortly after, the fifth goal followed, confirming the final score.
– This is absolutely crazy, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had, she says.
