The boys from Argentina are impressing and being impressed at Gothia Cup

The Argentinian boys from CEF 18 Tucuman in the B14 category have been on fire during the group stage.

A convincing 5-0 victory against Swedish side Boo FF on Wednesday secured them a clean sweep of wins in the group matches. As much as the team impresses on the field, the players themselves are equally amazed by their Gothia experience.
– This is something entirely different from what we have back in Argentina, says center-back Gonzalo Paz.

The match against Boo FF saw the Argentinians dominate effortlessly. The most spectacular goal of the game came towards the end of the first half, with a skillful shot curving into the top corner directly from the corner flag. Ultimately, CEF 18 Tucuman managed to score five goals, with midfielder Lucas Graneros netting one of them.
– It's the best feeling I've ever experienced as a football player, he says, referring to his goal that made it 4-0.

The team's goalkeeper, Felipe Serra, who has not conceded a single goal in the tournament so far, gazes wide-eyed across the Heden pitches after the victory.
– The pitches here are completely different from what we are used to playing on in Argentina; they're really nice, practically perfect. And playing in front of such a large crowd is incredibly fun. Every time we score, we hear our names and jersey numbers announced on the loudspeakers. It's truly amazing, like a dream, he says.
