This year's winners of the Fair Play Trophy

KFCE Eendracht Belzele B15, Real Sociedad Chihuahua B15, Tramway FC B12 Ethan Becket #6 and IF Team Hudik G16 Olivia Olofsson #4 are the well deserved winners of this year's Fair Play Trophy.

Gothia Cup Celebrates Fair Play. To increase the pride among participants, we award the Fair Play Trophy. The teams that are nominated have demonstrated good behavior during this year’s tournament. And it’s not just the participants and coaches who are assessed. The team’s supporters must also have contributed to a positive atmosphere around the matches.

Diego Andre Meija Amparan, player for Real Sociedad Chihuahua B15 was delighted to have won the Fair Play trophy:
– It feels amazing, it is an honour to have won a trophy like this. The trophy means that me and my teammates have done something right, he says

His team has acted in a very fair way all week.
– We have tried to be correct and act in a fair way to all our opponents in the matches we have played, Diego Andre Meija Amparan says.

This was the first time that he and his team participated in the tournament.
– It is the best tournament in the world. There are so many teams here from different countries, and the whole experience has been fantastic, he says.

Tramway FC B12 Ethan Becket #6

“Ethan Becket from Tramway FC, South Africa is the team captain of the B12 Team. He is very caring and radiates team spirit. When someone is hurt he is always there to reach out a hand regardless if it is his teammate or an opponent. Ethan’s behavior is a perfect example of what our participants should strive for.”

IF Team Hudik G16 Olivia Olofsson #4
