It really shows what this tournament represents, and it feels like we are doing something important, says Amelia Rubenacker.

This morning, the start signal for Gothia Cup was given, and the tournaments are in full swing at Heden. It didn't take long for Amelia Rubenacker to become the tournament's first goalscorer, and after 11 minutes, the score was 2-0 to the American NJFC. The result held, and it was a victory for the Americans who faced the Swedish team IFK Aspudden-Tellus.
– It feels fantastic to do this together, we worked hard and did it as a team, says Amelia Rubenacker.

NJFC has traveled all the way from New York City to participate in the Gothia Cup, and for the forward, it is her first time visiting Europe. The team, which has just started playing for the season, looks forward to developing together during the tournament.
– It's an amazing atmosphere here, this is the biggest field any of us have played on, so it's a completely new experience for us, says Amelia Rubenacker.
