Penalty Shoot-out Decides as IK Uppsala Football Wins F15 Final

After a goalless final, the F15 category was decided by penalties, where IK Uppsala Football defeated American Marin FC 5-4. – It feels absolutely incredible, says Naima Altamirano Jedroum, captain of IK Uppsala.

The final in the F15 category was a tight and intense showdown between Swedish IK Uppsala Fotboll and American Marin FC. During regular play, both teams created goal-scoring opportunities, but neither was able to find the back of the net. When the final whistle blew, the score was still 0-0 and the gold would be decided from the penalty spot.

The penalty shootout became dramatic as the teams traded blows through several rounds. IK Uppsala Fotboll displayed the most sharpness in the decisive moment and ultimately won 5-4 on penalties. This secured the title for the Swedish team in the F15 category.

Naima Altamirano Jedroum was pleased with the victory but noted that the team had created enough chances to decide the match earlier.
– It feels really good. We created many goal-scoring opportunities, but it's a shame we couldn't get the ball in. We were a bit careless in our finishes.

She also highlights the team's cohesion during the tournament as an important part of their success.
– It's been a really fun week. We've been like a family and helped each other with everything, she says.

After the final, Isabel Haldin was named the match MVP. She was ecstatic about the victory.

– It was magical and unforgettable. A memory for life! The best thing that's happened, with the best team and coaches.
