The final in the G15 category was a close and intense match between Swedish IK Uppsala Fotboll and American Marin FC. During regular play, both teams created goal opportunities, but neither was able to find the back of the net. When the final whistle blew, the score remained 0-0, and the gold would be decided from the penalty spot.
The penalty shootout was dramatic as the teams matched each other through several rounds. IK Uppsala Fotboll displayed the greatest precision in the decisive moment and ultimately won 5-4 on penalties. Thus, the Swedish team secured the title in G15.
After the final, Naima Altamirano Jedroum was named the match's MVP. She was happy about the victory but also noted that the team had created enough chances to decide the game earlier.
– It feels really good. We created many goal opportunities, but it was a shame we couldn't get the ball in. We were a bit careless in our finishing, says Naima Altamirano Jedroum.
She also highlights the team's cohesion during the tournament as an important part of their success.
– It's been a really fun week. We've been like a family and helped each other with everything, she says.
