Gothia Cup

After two years of waiting, TSV Großbardorf will finally get to play in Gothia Cup

In 2020, the team of TSV Großbardorf won the SKF MtW tournament in Germany. Unfortunately, Covid changed the plan.

Gothia Cup's finally back and SKF Germany made an unconventional choice. Instead of playing a new tournament this year, to the team of TSV Großbardorf is given the possibility to join Gothia Cup, after two years of waiting time.

Andreas Lampert, coach of the team, confirms: “Finally having the possibility to join the Gothia Cup means so much to us! This is the biggest tournament we have played so far, in a country that is foreign to most of our kids. The energy and atmosphere of the tournament seems to be stunning! This really rounds up the story that has begun two years ago.”

These kids have grown, and they may have changed a bit, but what is still the same is their love for football – they never stopped feeding their biggest passion.

“We are so happy to join hundreds of other kids from around the world. We are looking forward to proving how our team has grown together and improved during the last two years of waiting time”, says team captain Ole Bandau (lying in front of his team in the picture).

This story tells a lot about what Gothia Cup means to the kids – and SKF is proud to be part of this great journey.
