Gothia Cup

"The people here makes me warm"

Ayana Saito likes here stay in Gothenburg. She is here to compete, but also to meet new people and learn to know other cultures.

The Japanese team Jef United Chiba is one of the teams in the Gothia Puma Trophy. Coming from the island of Honshu, specifically the city of Chiba, the team arrives at the tournament with high hopes.

Coming from Japan to Gothenburg can be challenging due to the differences in society. However, the girls from Jef United Chiba have had a fantastic first two days. The team has quickly acclimated to Gothenburg and enjoys the city very much.

-I love everything about the city! The nature, the food, and the people, says captain Ayana Saito.

The team is about to step onto a fully packed Heden field, which makes Ayana and her teammates excited.

-The tournament has been fun so far. I really enjoy being in this environment; everyone is here to have fun. Plus, it's really cool to have so many people in the stands, I like that.

The people here are so warm. It makes me feel really good, says Ayana.

What she is looking forward to the most is meeting people from different parts of the world. Getting to know these people and hearing their stories is what Gothia Cup is all about.
