NorCal Premier PDP is flying towards the playoffs

Nicole Kim on the group victory in the Gothia Puma Trophy, the wonderful environment surrounding the tournament and NorCal's chances in the playoffs.

The American team NorCal Premier PDP won last year's Gothia Puma Trophy on the women's side. This year, they are back to repeat the feat, and so far, they have been doing excellently.

They have achieved three victories out of three matches with a goal difference of 20-1. Nicole Kim scored two fantastic goals in the last group stage match against Piteå.

-It was a tough match where we conceded an early goal, but we did not give up and fought our way back into the game. It felt great to turn it around and win, and scoring two goals was a bonus, said a happy Nicole Kim.

NorCal has previously participated in the Gothia Puma Trophy and won the previous year, in a tight final against German team Bayer Leverkusen. Nicole and her teammates aim to repeat the achievement, but they know that every match will be against tough opponents.

-It is an honor to be here representing NorCal. We are a fantastic group that has worked hard to be here this year. Being together in this wonderful environment allows us to play to our full potential, Nicole explained.

-Meeting people from all over the world is very cool. We are a group with a lot of energy who enjoy making new friends. Building new connections has made the experience magical, added Nicole.

On Thursday at 18:50, the team will face either Chivas Guadalajara from Mexico or Arna-Björnar from Norway.
