NorCal Premier PDP won the G17E title: “It feels amazing”

NorCal Premier PDP - Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 (1-0)

NorCal Premier PDP from California in the USA defeated Bayer Leverkusen from Germany in a great G17E final. The players were very happy when they received their medals and the trophy.
– It’s such a great tournament, says the Gothia Cup winner Mia McSweeney.

NorCal Premier PDP started the match best. First they had a shot in the crossbar and then they scored a beautiful goal in the 24th minute. The talented teenager Sophia Kurisu scored the goal. Her teammate Mia McSweeney scored the 2-0 goal in the beginning of the second half. The Americans also hit the crossbar several times. Bayer Leverkusen’s Delice Boboy scored in the last minutes to make it 2-1, but it was not enough. NorCal Premier PDP were crowned champions after a great performance.
– It feels amazing to win the Gothia Cup and it was also a great feeling to score. NorCal has won the tournament before but not this team, says the goal scorer Mia McSweeney.
How will you celebrate?
– We will be with our clubmates and just have fun together. It will probably be a long night, she says with a laugh.
