Today, some of the knockout matches for this year’s tournament were held at Majvallen. The English Phoenix Football Academy, in the Girls 15 category, played one of the A playoff round of 32 matches there. Last year, the team competed in the G14 category and reached the round of 16 but were defeated. Today, they aimed for victory to go further than last year.

In the warm weather at Majvallen, Phoenix Football Academy played against the Swedish team Enebybergs IF. After a tough match, Enebyberg was defeated, and Phoenix Football moved one step closer to their intermediate goal in the tournament.
– Reaching at least one step further than last year would be fantastic, said player Lily Pendlebury after today’s win.

Tomorrow, the team faces Swedish Onsala BK at Härlanda 2 at 12:30 PM for the round of 16. Player Lily feels ready to achieve this year’s intermediate goal in the tournament.
– I am really happy and excited for tomorrow, she said.
