Gothia Cup

Picks of the day - Friday

Every day we will showcase a few extra interesting games. Here is our selection for Friday!

08.00, Majvallen: California Magic SC (US) – Team Odense Q (DK), G15 (8/1, Playoff A).
California Magic won their group convincingly and have continued to march through the playoffs. They face a very strong Team Odense Q who has scored a lot of goals. In four of their games they've scored five goals and in their latest game they scored four. This should be a very close and competitive game.

08.00, SKF Arena: IF Brommapojkarna 5U (SE) – IFK Göteborg (SE), B14 (8/1, Playoff A).
Brommapojkarna have been racking up large victory after large victory and look like a clear candidate for the title in the B14 class this year. This time they face IFK Göteborg. Despite the fact that Brommapojkarna has scored more than twice as many goals (31) as IFK Göteborg, IFK has so far only conceded three goals. Can the IFK Göteborg defense withstand the onslaught of Brommapojkarnas attack?

09.10, Heden 3 – McDonald’s: G14 Stjarnan 1 (IS)– 1776 United FC (US), G14 (4/1, Play off A).
Stjarnan has beaten Marin FC 2 and their other team in the class, Stjarnan 2, on their path through the G14 playoffs. 1776 United FC has only conceded two goals in the whole tournament – this looks to be a close one between two strong sides.

17.50, SKF Arena: Right to Dream (GH) – Audax (BR), B17 (semifinal, Play off A).
The crowd favorites from Ghana has filled the SKF Arena time after time this week. This time they face Brazilian side Audaxthat beat a strong Kalmar FF in the quarter final. Get your seat early because this will be a game played in front of a capacity crowd!

19.00, SKF Arena: Bayer 04 Leverkusen (DE) – Kristianstad DFF (SE), G17 (semifinal, Play off A).
Bayer 04 Leverkusen face Kristianstad DFF in the semi final in Gothia Puma Trophy. The Leverkusen squad has several players in the German G16 national team. They play an attacking style and score a lot of goals. But Kristianstad has a better goal difference and less conceded goals. This one looks like a nail biter!
