Gothia Cup

ProGen FC from Ghana wants to win it all

"Teamwork is the key to our success": says Ghanaian player Abdul Rahman Moro.

Ghanaian ProGen FC is represented at Gothia Cup for the third consecutive year. Their goal is to go all the way.
- We are here to win, says Abdul Rahman Moro, a player for ProGen's B16 team.

The Ghanaian team, which plays its group stage matches at Torslandavallen, has had a strong start to the tournament.
- Teamwork is the key to our success. That and effective training are what have made us perform well so far, says Abdul Rahman Moro.

This year marks the third year in a row that ProGen has participated in Gothia Cup. This is Abdul Rahman Moro's second year here.
- I had fun last year when I was here and I met a lot of new people. It's great to get the chance to come here again, he says.

Many players from Ghana have had successful careers after participating in Gothia Cup. This is a big inspiration for the players in ProGen.
- It is a unique opportunity for us to make a name for ourselves in another country and it increases our chances of success in the future, says Abdul Rahman Moro.

During the Gothia Cup week, matches come thick and fast. ProGen played their third group stage match on Tuesday against Torslanda IK, having already played a match earlier in the morning. With the tight schedule, it is important to rest.
- Between matches, we focus on resting. I think if you don't have time to rest and recharge for the next match, it will greatly affect your performance, says Abdul Rahman Moro.

The match against Torslanda IK ended in a goalless draw for ProGen FC. On Wednesday, the final group stage matches will be played. In the Ghanaians' concluding group stage match, they will face FK Bromma at Torslandavallen 2 at 3:00 PM.
