Gothia Cup

The teams of NSA arrived at the opening ceremony together

"We're looking forward to represent the USA"

NSA from the USA had several teams attending the opening ceremony together, including the B14 and G12 teams.
- This will be something I've never experienced before, says B14 player Thomas Jolly about the opening ceremony.

The American teams arrived in Sweden yesterday and played their first matches of the tournament today.
- It has been a fun day. Seeing the whole city and all the fields around it has been a really fun start to the week, says Thomas Jolly.

The opening ceremony is one of the highlights of Gothia Cup week, always filling Ullevi with 60,000 excited players and leaders.
- I'm excited. It will be fun to see people from other countries around the arena and especially to represent the USA, says Lily Cox, a player for NSA's G12 team.

Thomas Jolly is also looking forward to what the opening ceremony has to offer:
- I don't really know how I'll react to this. It's something I've never experienced before, so it will be an incredibly exciting experience, he says.

Lily Cox has already made new friends during her first full day in Sweden.
- We've met many other American teams that we've gotten to know during the day, but also a few Swedish teams, she says.

Thomas Jolly adds:
- We had a fun evening yesterday with a group of Swedes we played football with. The goal for the rest of the week is to get to know even more people from different cultures, he says.
