Gothia Cup
Registration for Gothia Cup 2020 opens on Tuesday September 10th, 10 am (local time). The tournament will take place 12th–18th of July. Some of our categories normally get fully booked quickly, so make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of the world’s largest youth tournament.
The smoke has barely settled after this years Gothia Cup. But already tomorrow Gothia Cup China begins. “It’s gratifying to again experience the special spirit of Gothia Cup and this time on the other side of the globe”, says Dennis Andersson, general secretary of Gothia Cup and guest of honor at the tournament in China.
When Kusasa Stars came to this years Gothia Cup they had three bags with them on the plane to Sweden. On the flight back to South Africa they ”had to” bring 70 bags filled with football equipment and clothes that had been donated to them during their stay in Sweden.
One week has passed by but we already look forward to Gothia Cup 2020. The registration opens September 10th, at 10 AM, local time (GMT+2).
20358 goals and a countless number of laughs sums up Gothia Cup 2019. Our organisation would like to take a moment to say thank you to all participants, volunteers, partners and visitors who made this tournament into a memory that will last for a lifetime.
The African drums kept beating when it was time for the second all-African final at Gamla Ullevi. In the final between the two Ghanaian teams Greengen FC and Kharis Sports Acadamy, Kharis Sports Academy come out on top, winning 1-0. “It feels great”, says Foster Agyei, the goalscorer.
BK Häcken had most of the play. IF Brommapojkarna scored most of the goals – and as you all know it’s the goals that counts. IF Brommapojkarna is the champions of the invitational tournament SEF Trophy (B15).
A tight game. A tough game. A Scandinavian derby. Everything you can wish for in a Gothia Cup final. And in the end – a winner from Gothenburg! “We tried to push ourselves to the end and we succeeded“, says MVP of the match Stinalisa Johansson.
Brommapojkarna are the new B14 champions after a tough game against CD Inter Vista Alegre. They have manage to go through the tournament unbeatable and the team captain acknowlegde the defence. ─ Our defence is unique. It’s almost impossible to score against us, says Andreas Luxenburg.
